9:03 a.m., the apartment
Still in the apartment. Still working out how to do something crazy. (Short of burning the house down-that would be really bad).
Got to see the owner’s cat yesterday, so that’s something. Isabelle is absolutely adorable, but she always rubs up against my mask when she sees me. Oh well. Small price to pay for getting to hold a cat. I’m going to go back and see her again, if possible. I’ll try to get some pictures for you guys…..
Glad I brought my Steampunk craft book. Not that I’m going to be able to do any of the projects, but it’s nice to read them.
And I’ve made a lot of progress reading Five Weeks in a Balloon. I’m hoping to finish it by tomorrow, but since I have to do school, that might be a little hard. Could be Thursday.
I’m going to have a drama class later today. I’m going to perform a monologue as Dr. Jekyll. (Which is not helping my Victoriana obsession.) I even brought a costume, since this is a part that really relies on the costume.
Listening to Katy Perry today. I love her. She’s made some of my favorite songs ever, especially Firework. Great song, gives you a lot of self-esteem. I also listened to a newer one of hers yesterday called Smile. Beautiful. I’ll include it for you guys to listen to. It’ll make you happy.
Not much else to say, except I had an idea to make a 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea-themed comic strip. It would be totally hilarious, and I would really love to make it, since I love the book. They’d have a bunch of wacky adventures, in addition to the ones in the book, and it would be a lot funnier than the adaptations generally are.
The only problem is, I can’t draw a comic strip to save my life. I learned how to draw cartoon characters last spring, but since the book I learned it from was a library book, I’ve long since lost it. At least I know the title.
Anyway, that’s all for today. Bye now, gotta go do school.
Yours,
Grace
