No, I’m not dead, in case you were worried……

Jiminey Cricket, has it really been over a week since I’ve written? Sheesh! Where does the time go?

Anyway, I just wanted to quickly write and say hello, just to assure that I am still alive, although the ‘well’ half of that sentence might be an overstatement.

Okay, first off: An apology. I am sorry for disappearing on you guys like that, and I hope you’ll still read my now-sporadic posts.

Second: An explanation of the assumption that I might not be exactly well. Today, I am attempting to create a paper version of a haunted house. And not just any house, mind you, but the residence of the world’s kookiest clan.

That’s right. I recently discovered the Addams family. It’s a disaster, truly. I’ve got their theme song stuck in my head, too. I like it, though. You could say it’s…… snappy.

Oh gods, I have to stop making that joke. It’s getting kind of annoying. But I do have it stuck in my head. The sad thing is, I’m now going to be a horrible person and get it stuck in your heads too.

Omg, I have problems…..

I’ve also been coming up with costumes. And I want to do this for Halloween. My friend Bella doesn’t seem adverse to it, so that’s good…..

So far, I’ve only come up with the complete costume for Wednesday, shown on me below.

Not bad, right? I have the boots that I think I can use for Morticia, her mom, but I don’t have the right dress, I don’t think. That’ll just have to wait.

Also, I’m definitely going to post when I finish my mansion, which just so happens to be made out of paper and has multiple towers, a greenhouse, a tree, and opening shutters.

I’m also going to leave you with some horrific music to send chills down your spine. (So cliche, I know.) I’m going to just pick some of my favorite Halloween-type songs and let you decide if you like them. Comment if so!

‘Haunted Heart’ from the Addams Family 2019
‘My Family,’ also inspired by the Addams

No explanation needed, it’s in the title.

‘I’m in love with a Monster,’ from Hotel Transylvania

I had this stuck in my head for years until I found it.

I’ve also gotten into a really cool singer called Ava Max recently, and I’m going to post a music playlist for some of my favorites of hers later.

But for now, I’ll leave you. And spooky listening!

(faint sound, receding into the distance: do do do do *snap snap* do do do do *snap snap* do do do do do do do do do do *snap snap*)

I love Egypt and anything to do with archaeology, am an amateur fencer, and want to be an actress. I am currently living with my parents, and my occupation is student. I'm also a Girl Scout. I have very many diverse interests, including all those listed above and several more. I qualify myself as a Steampunk, which means I love anything old and think I own a dirigible. (If you couldn't tell, I'm a little wacky, but then, all the best people are.) I happen to be a practicing magician and have more books than anyone I've ever met, except my grandmother. Looks like bibliomania is hereditary. What I love is a good adventure. Would you like to come along with me?
